The objectives that the Vietnam International Seaport 2012 would like to achieve are to implement the policy on Vietnam's maritime economic development strategy of the Government, contribute to raise awareness among people and intensify the extensive propaganda about international sovereignty of the sea and islands of Vietnam in public, as well as the role and leading position of the maritime economics against Vietnam economy, security and national defense.
Accordingly, the Festival will host several activities such as Canaval program "For peace in the Southeast Asia Sea"; Amateur Golf tournament to support the fund " For the Truong Sa of loved"; exhibition about seaports, shipping companies, international and Vietnam logistics; potentials and Vietnam island sovereign exhibition; international conference forum on investment development, construction, management and administration of seaports; performance "Garden of light" with high-tech equipment...
The Festival is expected to take place in three days from 27 to 29-4-2012 with the total fund of nearly VND35 billion.
Mr. Ho Van Nien said that local authority would create favorable conditions for the organizer to carry out this event, requested the organizor to limit the theme and contents of the program; connect the maritime, seaport activities with the world; strengthen communication activities aimed at attracting the attention of international investors to the festival. In addition, the organizer should balance the financial resource, organize activities to attract sponsorship for the success of festival.
