The 7th Meeting of the Vietnam Seaports Association is scheduled to be held at Cong Doan Hotel in Do Son, Hai Phong city, hosted by Hai Phong port on September 8-9, 2010. Delegates attending the VPA meeting shall include leaders of 53 member ports and potential ports in the nation, representatives of the leadership of Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Maritime Department, Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines), representatives of leaders of local authorities, friendly industrial associations and other relevant members in the maritime community.
The 7th VPA meeting aims to assess and develop the operation of the Association based on the spirit of innovation and cooperation as well as elect the new executive board of the 7th term, propose to the authorities to perfect mechanisms, policies; support conditions and solutions for VPA and Vietnam seaports system to develop their maximum potential and reach to new achievements.
This meeting is also a forum to exchange experiences, discuss and decide the main issues of the port group such as planning, investment, cooperation, operation, information technology system, safety, security and environment.
Sightseeing activities, exhibitions, exchanges, sport competition shall also be organized on the occasion of the meeting to create opportunities for developing business of members of the seaport community and related businesses. |
