Ho Chi Minh City-based urban developer Phu My Hung Corp. has decided to name its headquarters building after its late executive board chairman in commemoration of the former company leaders contributions.
The naming ceremony was organized by Phu My Hung, Taiwan-invested developer of Ho Chi Minh City Saigon South Urban Town, and took place on the morning of Nov. 4.
Mr. Ting largely contributed to the establishment of Ho Chi Minh Citys Tan Thuan Processing Zone, the Saigon South Urban South and the Hiep Phuoc Power Plant, said Vo Thi Hiep, a high-ranking company official at the ceremony.
Those facilities are valuable contributions to the development of Ho Chi Minh City, she added.
Mr. Ting was Chairman of the Central Trading and Development Corporation (CT&D) in Taiwan, which formed a partnership with the Vietnamese Tan Thuan Industrial Promotion Corporation (IPC) in May 1993 to set up Phu My Hung.
He reportedly committed suicide on September 23 of this year in downtown Taipei, Taiwan.
