Transport Minister Ho Nghia Dung and Korean Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sung-Jin Kim exchanged views on boost­ing co-operation efforts in various areas, including the exchange of legal informa­tion, policies and technolo­gies on maritime transport, promotion of bilateral busi­ness opportunities, use of Vietnamese sailors on Ko­rean vessels, security and safety in maritime transport, exchange of information on rescue tasks, exchange of experts and apprentices and organisation of semi­nars and conferences in the field.

A Memorandum of Un­derstanding was signed to mark the two sides' deter­mination to boost co-opera­tion.
