  Viet Excursions enjoys full cruise ship schedule for Q1

Local travel firm Viet Excursions on Wednesday welcomed the Ocean Princess cruise ship with around 800 passengers on board at the Phu My seaport in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, on in several cruise ships served by the company since the first day of the New Year.

Chairman of the company Phan Xuan Anh said Viet Excursions would welcome a foreign cruise ship everyday throughout the first quarter of the year. Most of the ships have between 500 and 800 passengers on board, but some ships such as Queen Elizabeth, Queen Marry 2 and Artemis can bring 1,500 to 2,500 guests to the country on each trip.

Qhat is special in this year’s business is that many cruise ships like SeaBourn Pride are starting regular visits to Vietnam, he said, adding it would be a busy period for the tour operator.

"We used to have free days in the same period of last year but now we are busy all of the days. The business is getting better," he told the Daily on Wednesday.
