VPA ANNUAL MEETING 2012
The Vietnam Seaports Association (VPA) Annual Meeting 2012 is scheduled to be held at Green Plaza Hotel Da Nang on August 21-22, 2012, hosted by Da Nang Port.
Participants to the Meeting include directors and key managers from 58 member ports and potential new member ports; senior officials from the Government Office, Ministry of Transport (MOT), Vietnam Maritime Administration (Vinamarine), Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines), local authorities, representatives from other associations and other key stakeholders in the maritime community. Central and local mass media will also be invited to cover the event.
The Meeting is a forum of presentation to exchange experiences, discuss and make decision on key issues in ports such as port master planning, investment, public private partnership in port development in general and in particular port management, operations, safety, security and environment compliance, IT systems, etc. On the association side, evaluation and promotion of port development, activities and business partnership; recommendations to the Government and relevant authorities are also on the agenda.
In addition to the Meeting itself, social activities, receptions and sport games shall also be organized and exhibition stands offered to sponsors during the Meeting with attracting packages to make the event a unique opportunity and environment for business networking and promotion for port stakeholders and businesses in the relaxing sea side atmosphere of Da Nang City.
In succession to the VPA meeting, the 33rd ASEAN Ports Association (APA) Working Committee Meeting, with the participation of officials and key executives from various ports and port authorities in the region, hosted by VPA at Furama Resort on August 24-25, 2012, will also provide a combined unique opportunity for your business networking and promotion on a regional level.
