Vietnam Seaports Association
Ho Chi Minh City, April 15, 2026 – The Vietnam Seaports Association (VPA) and the Vietnam Green Transition Association (VGA) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking an important milestone in advancing green transition and sustainable development in Vietnam’s port industry.
Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate to implement programs supporting port enterprises in developing green port models, enhancing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management capacity, conducting greenhouse gas inventories and emission reduction activities, while strengthening compliance with international standards and access to green finance.
The scope of cooperation includes developing emission management and ESG systems, capacity-building training, consultancy on emission-reduction technologies, as well as organizing communication campaigns, workshops, and policy advocacy initiatives.
Within this partnership, VGA will provide expertise, advisory services, and international connections, while VPA will mobilize and engage the port business community, coordinating the implementation of programs across member ports nationwide.
The MOU reflects the shared commitment of both Associations to accompany Vietnam’s port sector in achieving sustainable development goals and meeting Net Zero commitments.
